Transportation Options

Aside from walking, biking, and driving, here are some other options to get to Mosier – or get around if you’re staying here.

Note that the Gorge Translink website provides an overview of public transit options throughout the Gorge.

The CAT Bus

The Columbia Area Transit (CAT) system is provided by Hood River County. It serves routes between Portland and The Dalles, as well as to Government Camp.

In addition to the posted stops, the CAT bus will stop in Mosier if you ask the driver to. The bus stop is just over the highway overpass. In fact, you can ask the driver to stop anywhere that’s safe to pull over.

The CAT bus is Included in the $40 unlimited-ride annual GOrge Pass, which covers all fixed routes.

The LINK Public Transit system is provided by the Mid Columbia Economic Development District. The LINK bus makes scheduled stops in Mosier as part of its trips from The Dalles to Hood River and back.

In addition, LINK offers a Dial-a-Ride service, which allows you to schedule a door-to-door ride – which may include other passengers.

The LINK bus (but not the Dial-a-Ride service) is Included in the $40 unlimited-ride annual GOrge Pass, which covers all fixed routes.

Taxi Service

You can also call a taxi from one of the companies below, which service most of the Gorge – and can even take you to and from the Portland airport. Check their websites for hours of operation, rates, and other details.
