This position requires a variety of skills related to the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of the city’s water, storm drain systems, parks, trails and street right of ways. Applicant is required to have Water Distribution Level 1 certification or acquire it within 6 months. The right candidate works closely with city staff, outside vendors and community members. Permanent full-time position with benefits. Non exempt hourly rate range $18.00 – $24.00/hr DOE.  Full job description and veterans preference form posted here.

City and Fire District RFQ for Mosier Net Zero Public Services Building

The City of Mosier and Mosier Fire District (Contracting Agencies) are requesting qualifications statements from Architect led design teams with expertise in Net Zero design. Potential proposers should inform the Contracting Agencies of their intent to respond by sending an email to Colleen Coleman, City Manager at colleen.coleman@cityofmosier.com.

Email subject line should read: “Mosier Fire/City Hall Design RFQ.”  Due date for electronic submission is 2/15/2019, 5pm. Due to inclement weather, hardcopy submission deadline is now 2/19/19, 5pm!! The RFQ document with instructions for submission can be found here.

City Hall closed Monday, 1/21/19 in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday

Mosier City Hall will be closed January 21st this year to observe the federal holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr (1929 – 1968).

Dr. King was a civil rights activist and baptist minister who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 for combating racial inequality through nonviolent resistance.

His work inspired President John F. Kennedy to write the American Civil Rights Act, which was signed into law July 2, 1964 by President Lyndon Johnson and then supported through the fourteenth and fifteenth amendments of the U.S. Constitution. Read more about the Civil Rights Act of 1964 here.
