The Oregon Department of Transportation is resurfacing the freeway from Hood River to Rowena over the next few months. At exit 69, Mosier’s on and off ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.—one way each night—4/22/18 and 4/23/18. We should know which direction will be closed on which night in a few days. We’ll keep you posted. Meanwhile, safe travels!
If you’re looking forward to hiking in the Gorge this Spring, venture a short 5 miles east of Hood River to the vibrant town of Mosier, where hiking, biking and gnoshing are all in good company with locals who celebrate Gorge life. Mosier Community School will host a Town Hall Meeting Monday 3/5/18 at 6:30 p.m. at the school gym to discuss school safety in light of the recent school shootings in Florida.
Discussion will be led by Kieran Connolly, Mosier School Principal and Lane Magill, Wasco County Sheriff.
The Hiring Committee for the City of Mosier has selected Jayme Bennett to provide finance administration and official record keeping for the City. A resident of Hood River, Ms. Bennett was raised in The Dalles and graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Business Administration and Economics. Her work experience includes Project Management and Accounts Payable and Receivable for Icon Holdings, a large scale housing developer and IT Coordinator at Mid Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles. We welcome her to our team and look forward to introducing her to the community!

- Early Nov – Remove Scaffolding (20 minute delays)
- Late Nov – Deck resurfacing work (4 days of 1 hr delays)
