PUBLIC NOTICE – CITY WATER USE DURING MOSIER CREEK FIRE

WATER QUALITY

The City of Mosier’s water supply is used for firefighting as needed. Hydrant water pressure stirs up sediment that is safe, organic material but may create discoloration. It is safe to drink, but please run your tap to clear before using. Thank you!!

TIER 1 WATER USE CURTAILMENT (VOLUNTARY)

The City of Mosier is issuing a Tier 1 water use curtailment effective immediately and until further notice due to the Mosier Creek Wildfire.

Tier 1 curtailment is voluntary.  This is a proactive measure designed to conserve water in the City’s storage tanks in the event of another power outage to prevent a water shortage or outage.

Tier 1 curtailment measures include: Do no use water for washing cars but feel free to water rooftops if needed.  Reduce water use indoors if possible.
