The City Council of Mosier, Oregon, will hold an executive session on October 18, 2023, at 8:00 P.M. on ZOOM. The executive session is being held pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(a), to consider the employment of a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent. The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities.

Mosier Green Space Gardeners (MGSG) (Rhonda Starling), 5 MINS, Rhonda Starling will be updating the City of Mosier City Council on the work and progress and valuable partnership MGSG has with the City of Mosier and Main Street Mosier, as well as Humble Roots. MGSG have been identified as a key resource in our infrastructure projects working closely with John Grim (City Engineer) to volunteer and facilitate native plantings in our public right of way, and parks, as well as projects. NO COUNCIL ACTION REQUIRED
  2. City of Mosier Reading of Ordinance for Regulation of Short-Term Rental Regulation: Emily Stranz and Short-Term Rental Committee/Laura Westmeyer (5 MINS)
  3. Electric Vehicle Charging Station Update (John Grim and Consultants) 15 MINS
    • Staff report reflects opportunities for the City of Mosier to consider partnerships with consultants to complete the EV Charging Station due to lack of funding and administrative interest in operating utilities for tourism. NO COUNCIL ACTION REQUIRED
  4. General Project UPDATES Small Cities Allotment, HUB, etc (5 MIN PLACEHOLDER) John Grim
  5. Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), 3 MINS
    • RESOLUTION to authorize the closing of the DEQ deposit account (CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT= COD) which was held until the completion of the removal of the “tire berm”. Direction given by council; Motion required to transfer to general fund. (This funding will go to Mosier Center. 6K. Bank requires motion.
