Public Notice of Street Intersection Closure

What: 2nd Ave. will be permanently closed where it intersects with Route 30 and Main St.

When: The week of August 15th

Why: To improve pedestrian and bicycle safety. This closure was evaluated and adopted as part of the City’s Transportation System Plan.

ODOT will be doing the work. 2nd Ave. will still be accessible from Oregon St. but it will be a dead end roadway. Parking and signage improvements on 2nd Ave. will be designed and constructed in 2023 as part of the Bike HUB project.
